On a warm Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles, a crowd of 2,400 fans waited eagerly for a night of music and memories with beabadoobee. The Beatopia tour landed at The Novo on 11/12, where the crowd was buzzing. To warm up the crowd, Lowertown took the stage. The band brought a fun indie sound with a punk flare to the show, with lead singer Olivia Osby moshing onstage and jumping up and down. The band, consisting of Osby and guitarist Avshalom Weinberg, was playing their first show in Los Angeles after being a band for half a decade. After a brief intermission with a DJ set, the crowd was more than ready for beabadoobee to take the stage.
beabadoobee walked on stage and was greeted by a room of cheering, the energy electric for the night’s show. The singer’s angelic voice rang through the theater, with the crowd singing every song right back to her. When the musician asked the crowd to jump, the floor began to shake. The songs from Bea translated flawlessly to the live setting. When the artist transitioned to an acoustic segment and began playing “See You Soon,” the crowd lifted their flashlights in solidarity. From the pairs of friends dancing back by the bar to the strangers swaying in the crowd, it was evident that beabadoobee had left her mark on Los Angeles.
