beabadoobee is ringing in her new era of music, releasing another single titled “Ever Seen,” a melodic, warm, and intricate track off her third studio album This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which comes out next month. Featuring all the contents of a typical indie pop track, beabadoobee adds her signature acoustic guitar skills and soft yet powerful vocalizations to create a perfect track from start to finish.

“Ever Seen” begins with the cozy chorus, featuring her warm and soft presence radiating as she sings ‘Spent some time waiting for your face/Don't want to risk just making all the same mistakes/The highest I think I’ve ever been/Said I had the prettiest eyes he'd ever seen.’ As the track progresses, the acoustic guitar becomes amplified with impressive synths and added vocal reverbs that just suck you right into the track.

She gets candid about dealing with mental breakdowns and drug use on the track, some of the most vulnerable she has been as she says her mind is spent and she shows it. As she continues through the track, added percussion elements make your heart racing as you wait for what’s coming next. As the track moves, she remains candid as she sings “I've been through this too many times to not notice/It's been rough, but I’ve felt worse/I’ll pull myself back up, and you know this.”

Despite these scary emotions, she knows she can lean on her boyfriend to help her and look for him in the darkness. In a chaotic sequence, beabadoobee adds more instrumentation like a melodic trumpet for added effects before mellowing out at the bridge as she powerfully proclaims her love and admiration, declaring “I can’t lie, he has the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen.”

Overall, “Ever Seen” is a well-done and thought-out track that excites me for the record and its release as it is some of the best songwriting of her career thus far. You can keep up with beabadoobee on social media under @radvxz on Instagram and @beabad00bee on X.
