Sundressed is making their Rude Records debut on September 18th with an album that’s a perfect Home Remedy for those of us who have been stuck in quarantine for the past six months. The title track, “Home Remedy,” was our first taste of this album. It summed it up perfectly with a message of hope, even when we feel at our lowest point. The second single, “Oh Please,” sounds like it was written during the peak of this pandemic, with the chorus of “I can’t pay a single bill / I haven’t seen a doctor still / I just hope this doesn’t kill me / I’m running out my bank account / But it won’t pay for that amount / Comfortable as I can be.” Though Sundressed has been working on this album for two years, you’d think they’ve written all of it in the height of COVID.
You don’t have to worry, though, with standout tracks such as “No Thanks” and “Your Frequency” that make you want get up and dance. You can have fun with this album. On the other hand, if you want a song to chill and make you feel something, you can put on “Sensitive Motherfcker” or “Cash Out.” If you’re a fan of The Maine, Motion City Soundtrack, Real Friends, anyone similar, or you’re just looking for a new band to fall in love with - check out Sundressed. If you already know of Sundressed, this album will renew your love for them with songs that feel unlike anything they’ve done, as well as songs that pay homage to The Dirt and A Little Less Put Together. And remember, anytime that you feel like you’re dying, you’re usually fine.
Make sure to check out Sundressed’s live streams on Twitch every Sunday this month at 6pm PST, and follow them on Instagram and Twitter at @sundressedband!
